How to: Killing frozen applications in Cinnamon Linux

Navigate to: Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts

Select: Shortcuts tab

Select: Add custom shortcut

Name: Kill Application
Command: xkill

Click on keyboard bindings
press Control + Esc, or keyboard binding of your choice

This should work immediately. If it does not, log out and back in again.
Press your key binding, the cursor will turn into an "X". Click on any window you wish to kill.

It definitely doesn't happen as much as it does on Windows, but occasionally something gets timed out and freezes. In Windows, killing the application in task-manager is my go to. But in Linux, these things work a little differently. Many use htop to kill an app, if you can find it in the list. Fortunately I have found a quick way of killing frozen applications in Cinnamon.
